Increasing crime, mass business migrations to foreign countries, economic chaos, wars, terrorism, moral decay, homosexual marriages, broken homes, forclosures, extreme technological advancements, implantable microchip technology, new diseases, political corruption.....

What does it all mean? Is it Biblical, relating to end time prophecies? Where do we go from here?

The Podcast has been a little unreliable for the last couple of months. This has been due to vacations, special services and technical difficulties. Things are back on track as of today.

I've just uploaded the three most recent messages. Soon, I'll be redoing the intro an outro to reflect the fact that there is no longer is an online study group. We tried it for about a half a year and there's just no interest in the current format/schedule.

However, the listenership of the podcast continues to grow and we're hearing from people even in other countries who are blessed by that ministry. If you're a listener of our sermon podcast we'd like to hear from you. Please register on this site and post in this message board thread or go to our contact page and send us an email. We want to know how we can help you in your spiritual journey.

I've just gotten back in town from a weekend trip to Myrtle Beach. That means that sometime tomorow I'll have to pick up a tape of the message and covert it to MP3 for the Podcast. I really don't expect all that to be done until late Tuesday night. So, there won't be any Online Bible Study that night either.

To make it up to you I'm going to send out an extra musical Podcast. I have a copy of Michelle's song from two weeks ago. If you like it be sure to drop us a note and let us know that you want more music in the Podcast feed.

I know I got the Podcast up late and I apologize.

I had technical problems on Sunday and I spent yesterday in an amusement park with the youth group. Since, there's no one online for the meeting I'm going to work on our computer at the soundboard and try to fix it so that I can upload sermons directly from there.

I was looking through our server logs and it looks like over the long term our busiest day is Sunday. I also see that our busiest time of the day is 10pm Eastern time (7pm Pacific). Currently, we're meeting on Tuesdays at 7pm Eastern time (4pm Pacific). That time is about average for activity on this site.

I'm open to moving this around and I think I could even do Sunday's at 10pm if that means more people will get the opportunity to participate. So just register with the site and let me know what is the best day of the week and time for you. If we can get some kind of consensus on a new time we'll make the change. Otherwise, we'll continue to meet at our usual time.

Meet us this Tuesday on the Skype VOIP service for our weekly online Bible Study. The subject this week is "Prayer" so bring your questions and experiences and we'll have a good time of fellowship and discussion together.

We're also still working out the technical details of using VOIP (voice over Internet protocol) for this service. Once you've got the free Skype software installed send a message to "gregmills." I'll also be on MSN if you need help.

This week almost everyone at our church is involved in Vacation Bible School and that includes Chris and I. As far as technology has come it's still hard to be in two places at once! ;)

I've had a very interesting week.

The Podcast is online as of about 6:45pm tonight. Since I was away and I couldn't capture the audio live on Sunday morning. I had to work from a tape of the service. I got the tape Monday afternoon and made a digital copy that night (sorry about the sound quality, it's the best I could do). I brought it to the church this morning to mix in the intro and outro but since the computer at the soundboard still doesn't have Internet access I couldn't put the completed mix online. Normally, I would transfer it to my jump drive but, wouldn't you know it, I left it a work.

I was out of town this weekend so the audio for Podcast wasn't captured directly to a digital file. This just means that I'll have get the sermon from the tape copy before I can put it online. It should be up later tonight.

We've done the first two Bible studies using the MSN Messenger service. We ask people to message me from their Messenger accounts so that I can send them back an invite into the group discussion. There are other chat programs available that allow the same sort of interaction. We could easily switch to AIM, Yahoo or ICQ. It's a just a matter of finding out what "the masses" prefer.

Alternately, we could go really cutting edge and do this on a VOIP service like Skype. I'm inclined to give this one a shot. It would probably keep anyone on a dialup connection from participating because of the bandwidth required. But, we would get to have an actual real-time voice discussion. I wonder how many people on dial-up are into Podcasting anyway because of the large filesizes of most Podcasts?
