Online Study Group

We're going to try something new. If you can't make it to one of our regular services or if you just want another mid-week opportunity for fellowship and studying God's Word, then you can join us online.

As of June 14th, we're meeting on the Skype VOIP service. Voice over IP (VOIP) will allow us to have a live real-time audio discussion. This requires a broadband Internet connection like DSL or Cable. However, if this is a success we can expand the service so that people in the 704 area code can join in the same discussion just by making a simple local call on their normal telephone service. It's a very new and exciting technology and you can find more about it at Skype.com. The software is free and so are Skype to Skype calls.

We'll still be on MSN Messenger to help support your transition to Skype. You can sign up for a free Messenger account and download their software from the MSN website. Once you're connected to the Messenger service just add to your contact list. Send me a message when you see me online between 7 and 8 on Tuesdays. Feel free to call the church office or email me directly for help as well.

The discussion will center on that week's Sunday morning message which you can download on this site or by subscribing to the Podcast (see Sermon Audio). The format will be very informal and facilitated by Pastor Chris and Greg.

We've also set up a message board that you can use between online meetings for posting your thoughts and questions. Please check the message board for more information on how to find us on the Skype network.
