Miami Church History

Miami Baptist Church was organized February 14, 1913 at the old Phoenix Gold Mine located just a few miles south of the church. The owner of the mine donated all the building materials for the original sanctuary and out of devotion and gratitude to him the members named the church Miami, which is where he lived. The first pastor was the Rev. J.S. Harris.

The following is a list of pastors who have ministered here and the dates they served.

Since the day the Lord planted the church here, He has blessed the us in numerous ways. Many men have been called out of Miami to preach, missionaries have been sent all over the world, and lives have been forever changed as a result of the ministry of Miami Baptist.

In 2004 the church completed a building project, a multi-purpose building with a sanctuary and educational space, to meet the needs of an ever-growing community. Throughout its long history Miami Baptist has been and continues to be a church that is dedicated to serving the Lord and seeing lives changed by the power of Jesus Christ.
